Outside Our Walls
We understand that most of the real work of God's Kingdom takes place outside of the four walls of the church! Here are some of the different ministries that Trinity is a part of on a regular basis:
Monroe Park
Trinity collaborates with several other local ministries to help feed the homeless at Monroe Park in downtown Richmond. We help with food and clothing distribution on the 2nd Sunday of each month. Anyone wishing to help should be ready to leave from the church at 8 am on that morning. We return in time for the Sunday morning service.
Trunk or Treat
On the last Sunday of October, we sponsor Trunk or Treat as a safe alternative to Halloween. Members of our congregation sponsor their own “trunk” with a theme, costumes, games and candy. Children are allowed to visit all the trunks to enjoy playing games and filling their goody bags in a safe environment. Several hundred children and their parents have participated each year!
Thanksgiving Meals
Each year we partner with CCHASM (Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Alliance for Social Ministry) and numerous churches, businesses and individuals. This partnership provides meal packages to hundreds of people in our community who otherwise might not have the resources to celebrate with a Thanksgiving meal.
Operation Christmas Child
To share God's love in another tangible way, Trinity participates with Samaritan's Purse International Relief during the Christmas season. Shoe boxes are filled with toys, candy and basic toiletries. The boxes are distributed to children around the world.
Missions
We support more than 40 local and foreign ministries and missionaries on a monthly basis. This support is not only monetary, but also with supplies, resources, prayer and by participating in short-term and long-term missions projects.
